If US Can't or Won't Fight Terrorists, They Should 'Stop Getting in the Way'

The Russian Defense Ministry commented on the US State Department's calls not to help tankers shipping fuel to the Russian Aerospace Forces in Syria. If Washington cannot or does not want to fight terrorists, it should not get in the way, the ministry's spokesman Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov said Thursday.

US State Department's spokesman Mark Toner urged other countries not to provide support for Russian tankers shipping fuel to the Russian aviation group in Syria.

"Such statements, unfortunately, only confirm our earlier estimates that fighting terrorism in Syria has never been on the outgoing administration's agenda," Konashenkov said.

Washington had impeded negotiations, did not separate terrorists and opposition and now openly called on other countries to hamper Moscow's anti-terrorism fight in Syria "to somehow downplay the failures of US policies in the country since 2014", the spokesman said.

Konashenkov said that the US-led coalition can only dream of a success comparable to the one Russia has achieved for a year: over 2,000 settlements have joined ceasefire, 86 armed groups have stopped fighting and hundreds of thousands of Syrians have returned to peaceful life to rebuild the country.

"So if you cannot or do not want to fight Daesh and al-Nusra Front — do not get in the way, at least. Our air group is Syria is sufficiently equipped to fight international terrorism in this region," he said.

Both Washington and Moscow have been conducting military operations against terrorists in the war-torn country. The US-led international coalition of more than 60 members has been carrying out airstrikes against Daesh targets in Iraq and Syria since August and September 2014 respectively. Russia began its own operation in September 2015 at the request of Syrian President Bashar Assad.

This is where nations should make a stand and supply fuel for Russian planes and medical supplies and cancer treatments sanctioned by US.
The time has arrived for Nations that dont wont to be engulfed in future conflict come out of the closet and support Russia in its global fight against terrorism.

In a certain way, I like Obama. He has a certain charisma.
But in reality, I have to call him a failure on many issues.
On the issue of Middle East, he is a total failure and he knows that.
So the minions of Obama, the show is over. Pack up and leave.
Your lies are in the open.... Blown wide open.
So stop adding fuel to a dying fire, you will certainly get burnt, badly.
This is not an advice. THIS IS A WARNING.

It´s yet to be seen what the change is going to be once Trump takes office, but this fascist regime with tons of blood on their hands is clearly doing their worst before they leave

Aleppo should be air bombed with a sleeping agent to send all occupants to sleep.
The Syrian army and allies can then enter and disarm al terrorists while ensuring civilians safety.

As an American... What I find more embarrassing than Obama's incompetence is his pathetic attempt to understand Russian psychology. Frankly I don't think the fascist left-wing has the capability to do-so. Their minds are too warped by years of educational indoctrination and petulant childish utopian idealism. When Russia entered Crimea I thought to myself; Yeah that makes total sense. Most of the people there are ethnically Russian. Most identify more with Russia. Russia has a stronger economy. Russia has a more effective government. Even after joining NATO years ago, EU keeps putting membership on ice for Ukraine (which might not matter as we see EU dissolve before our eyes). There are resources there... why not take back the land whose population is mainly ethnically Russian and nationalistic by origin? All the pieces were aligned and Russia went for the gold. The problem is the United States can't play chess anymore. Mentally, it has shifted too far left. The left surrenders both practicality and pragmatism in exchange for the obsessive compulsive necessity of "perfection" and "utopia". Perhaps they should read John Stuart Mill's Utilitarianism. The world is imperfect, casualties are inevitable, and the meager attainable balance between severity and mercy often times calls for severity. Now pertaining to Syria. Yeah, I would unapologetically prefer Assad over Islamic State. Look what happens this way; war+post war leadership=stable state. War+democratic government+pull out= failed state. Democratic-Republics require the central components of self-determination, trust and most importantly tangible desire. Let Russia stop IS. Let Assad stick around. The alternative quite frankly is chaos ad infinitum.

Its not "the US getting in the way" its OBAMA who CREATED and SUPPORTS the terrorists, just like OBAMA created ISIS.

Hes a MUSLIM and hes one of them.

Just wait, Mr Putin, OUR President Trump will help reverse the damage Obama has done.

Youll have our support shortly after the traitor is gone from the White Hut.

The US administration pencil necks cowardly hide behind their self interests and have no favor in stopping their ISIS friends.
The American people are embarrassed (at least I am) by all of this and say to Russia, "Good for you"!
Our administration is made up of sissies not interested in "hurting" anyone's feelings.

From this US state dept statement, it is clear that the United States of America fights on the side of international terrorists on the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic, directing other nations to obstruct the fight against the terrorists that Russia and other nations of the human race is waging to eliminate international terrorism in Syria.

ISIS = Israel/US/UK's pet terrorists. A proxy force to carry out their interests (which include terrorizing the world).

Malkut, You my dear American friend are quite right in all that you said, however there is one very important thing which western media (not surprisingly even our German media is on a same page as yours in USA) do not mention and is avoiding to mention. Historically Crimea was for last 300 years + Russian territory and they were heavily bleeding for it. However 1954 Soviet leader Khrushchev who was Ukrainian origin personally without a politburo permission ordered to transfer Crimea to Ukraine and he stated according to historical documents that he who has been born north from Crimea as a Ukrainian loved so much Crimea that he wanted to give it as a gift to Ukraine so that he can go there to relax.

That order has been contested by some Russian members of Soviet politburo but as Khrushchev had full power they had to retreat and few months later on Khrushchev insistence transfer was made but never ratified, That situation did not change after Yeltsin disbanded Soviet Union, Crimean representatives demanded from him to return them back to Russia but psychopath and drunkard Yeltsin was already under USA influence and they preferred that Crimea stays in Ukrainian hands than goes back where it belonged as USA sensed that it might become point of discontent in later stage and if needed chaos in Russia would always be welcome.

Only after Yeltsin stepping down from power and handing reigns to Putin this subject was discussed again but now that was becoming a much bigger problem as Ukraine was state and despite fact that initially even Ukrainian leaders demanded from Yeltsin to make final decision idiot was to drunk and under the drugs that he did not know anything more and was doing all that USA Ambassador and his advisers (CIA) told him. So Crimea was after 60 years finally legally returned back to Russia. This historical fact that Crimea was illegally taken from Russia was never really of any relevance for our western governments. Imagine that not long ago that idiot of Steinmaier our FM said that one of precondition for lifting up sanctions is that Russia returns Crimea and Pulls out from Ukraine. That guy is complete incompetent idiot and he is only making us looking as stupid and brainwashed. I am even older than him and remember during my studies 1970 of International law we were learning that Crimea was part of Russian empire, then Soviet Union and so on, therefore he learned that as well, but obviously he do not believe his knowledge any more unless is confirmed by Obama that is politically correct.

Best wishes from cold but sunny Berlin
