Turkey's General Staff confirmed the death of three service members in Syria reported earlier on Thursday, but claimed that the attack was carried out by Syrian government jets.

Three Turkish Soldiers Killed, 5 Injured in Daesh Attack in Northeast Syria
ANKARA (Sputnik) Turkish media previously said the attack that killed three troops and was carried out in the northwestern Syrian city of Al Bab by the Daesh jihadist group.

"As part of the Euphrates Shield operation, three of our soldiers were killed and 10 were injured as a result of an air attack carried out, as has been estimated, by the forces of the Syrian regime at 3:30 a.m. [12:30 GMT] on November 24," the Turkish military said.

The injured personnel were evacuated from the area of operations for treatment. One soldier is said to be in grave condition.
