Egypt Gov’t, People to Never Forget Victims of Russian Sinai Plane Crash - Envoy
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russia suspended flights to and from Egypt after an Airbus A321 plane flying to St. Petersburg crashed on the Sinai Peninsula soon after taking off from Sharm El-Sheikh on October 31, 2015, killing all 224 people aboard.

"The resumption of air travel [between Russia and Egypt] will be possible only after the Egyptian side satisfies all demands by Russian experts on ensuring security at domestic airports. Our Egyptian colleagues have made  a significant progress in that respect, and our cooperation has a constructive nature," the ministry said in a statement.

Russian Transport Minister Maxim Sokolov said in October this year that a decision on the resumption of the Egypt-Russia air travel may be taken before the end of 2016.
