Syria's Air Force has destroyed one of the key command posts of the Jaish al-Fatah armed coalition, which includes militants from al-Nusra Front terrorist organization, southwest of the city of Aleppo, the SANA news agency reported Friday citing a military source.

DAMASCUS (Sputnik) — The source said "one of the key headquarters of Jaish al-Fatah terrorists was destroyed in a Syrian airstrike on the positions of militants near the inhabited locality of Khan Al-Asal located some 12 kilometers southwest of Aleppo."

Syria has been mired in civil war since 2011, with opposition factions and Islamist terrorist groups such as Daesh and al-Nusra Front, now known as Jabhat Fatah al-Sham, both outlawed in Russia and the United States, fighting the Syrian Army.
