MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Momand failed to win confidence votes in parliament and was declared to have been dismissed, according to Afghan broadcaster Tolo News.

On Sunday, Education Minister Asadullah Hanif Balkhi and Minister of Transport Mohammadullah Batash were also dismissed for similar reasons.

On Saturday, the Afghan parliament voted to remove from office Minister of Public Works Mahmoud Baligh, Minister of Labor Nasrin Oryakhil, and Foreign Affairs Minister Salahuddin Rabban for failure to report on spending the development budgets.

The Afghanistan constitution gives the parliament the power to discharge ministers.
