    Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev expressed hope on Friday that the new US administration will play a more active role in the advancement of the Israel-Palestine peace process.

    JERICHO (Sputnik) — During a press conference following his visit to Israel and Palestine, Medvedev said that Washington has not been active lately in Mid-East peace efforts.

    "May be this activity would become higher with the arrival of the new administration," Medvedev stressed.

    The prime minister reiterated Russia's readiness to cooperate in Mid-East peace efforts with other countries, including Mid-East Quartet members.
