    Residents of Erbil Launch 'Morale Boosting' Initiative for Iraqi Army (PHOTOS)

    As the Iraqi Armed Forces and Kurdish Peshmerga militia continue operations for the liberation of Mosul from Daesh terrorists, a group of residents from Erbil have started an initiative to express their support for the fighters.

    A group of about 100 people brought fruit and home-cooked food for the Iraqi troops from Erbil.

    Sputnik Turkey reported that according to the group, they decided to carry out this initiative in order to thank, support and raise the morale of the soldiers fighting for the liberation of Mosul.

    “We fully believe in the imminent victory of the Iraqi Army and the liberation of Mosul from Daesh,” they said.

    The operation to retake Mosul from Daesh terrorists started on October 17. The offensive has already resulted in the liberation of large territories and prompted many terrorists to flee Iraq.
