MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The ceasefire in Syria was violated 39 times across six provinces in the past 24 hours, the Russian center for Syrian reconciliation said Friday in a daily bulletin.
"Within last 24 hours, 39 shellings performed by illegal armed formations have been registered in the provinces of Damascus (16) Aleppo (16), Latakia (3), Daraa (2), Hama (1) and Quneitra (1)," the center said in a statement carried by the Russian Defense Ministry.
The Ministry stressed that the Russian and Syria air forces had not carried out any attacks on armed groups who joined the ceasefire and informed the Russian or US reconciliation centers of their location.
