US operation Inherent Resolve spokesman Col. John Dorrian said that Washington will continue use coordination channel in deconflicting operations with the Russians over the campaign in Syria.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — US forces in Syria will continue to use the so-called deconfliction channel established with Russia to prevent airborne encounters as the Washington-led coalition prepares for an operation to liberate the city of Raqqa from the Daesh terror group, Operation Inherent Resolve spokesman Col. John Dorrian said at a briefing Thursday.

"We do continue our coordination channel in deconflicting our operations with the Russians," Dorrian told reporters. "We would continue to do that, certainly."
