Staffan de Mistura confirmed on Thursday the halt of bombardments in eastern Aleppo.

UNITED NATIONS (Sputnik) — UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura confirmed on Thursday the halt of bombardments in eastern Aleppo in accordance with the unilateral humanitarian pause.

“We’ve heard reports that bombardments on the Eastern Aleppo city have indeed dramatically decreased, actually stopped. That are the reports we’ve been receiving today,” De Mistura said at the UN General Assembly.
