US Service Member Dies From Bomb Blast in Iraq

A US serviceman was killed in an explosion during operations conducted in northern Iraq, the US-led Combined Joint Task Force announced in a statement on Friday.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The solder was not named in the release, which added that further information would be released as appropriate.

"On October 20, 2016, a US service member died from wounds sustained in an improvised explosive device blast in northern Iraq," the statement said.
