Al-Nusra Front terrorists threaten to kill Syrian civilians who intend to leave the city of Aleppo, local residents said.

ALEPPO (Sputnik) — Fighters with the Jabhat Fatah al-Sham terrorist group formerly known as al-Nusra Front threaten to shoot Syrian civilians planning to leave eastern Aleppo through six allocated humanitarian corridors, residents told RIA Novosti on Thursday.

"We live right next to them. Al-Nusra terrorists threatened to shoot anyone who will go through the humanitarian corridor," one of the residents who lives near the militant-controlled neighborhood said.

Terrorists opened fire from mortars and small arms at a humanitarian corridor in the Bustan al Qasr neighborhood of Aleppo near the Sour Al Hal market.

A more quiet atmosphere is observed at the second humanitarian corridor near Castello road in northern Aleppo ahead of the scheduled evacuation.

A planned 11-hour pause in airstrikes on terrorist positions came into effect in Aleppo at 05:00 GMT to let civilians leave the city along six corridors, in addition to two corridors opened for militants.
