French Ambassador to the United Nations Francois Delattre said that France and its partners will continue to put pressure on the Syrian government and its allies toward a goal of ending violence in the besieged city of Aleppo.

UNITED NATIONS (Sputnik) — France and its partners will continue to put pressure on the Syrian government and its allies toward a goal of ending violence in the besieged city of Aleppo, French Ambassador to the United Nations Francois Delattre said before a UN Security Council meeting Monday regarding Syria.

"This is why, as we speak, France and its partners will keep up and increase it [the pressure] on the regime and its allies. That is exactly what we want in order to transform this political pressure into action to stop the bloodshed in Aleppo," Delattre said.
