Russian Military Dismisses Reports of Recent Casualties in Syria
Posts in social networks concerning alleged deaths of Russian military personnel in Syria are unfounded and deliberately false, the Russian Defense Ministry said Friday.
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Some Western media outlets earlier reported that six Russian servicemen had been recently killed in Syria.
"All Russian servicemen deployed in Syria are safe and sound…they continue fulfilling their designated tasks," the ministry's press service said in a statement.
