MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to the SANA news agency, one person was killed and eight others were injured as a result of shelling in the residential neighborhood of the city, while two schoolgirls were killed and several persons injured as terrorists targeted a school in Daraa al-Mahatta.
No terrorist groups have claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
Syria has been mired in civil war since 2011, with government forces loyal to President Bashar Assad fighting numerous opposition groups, as well as terrorist formations, such as Daesh, outlawed in many countries, including Russia among others.
