"There are ongoing clashes between Daesh jihadists and the Free Syrian Army (FSA) to the south, east and west of Çobanbey settlement," he told Sputnik Turkiye.
The major stand-off is unfolding around Aktarin settlement. If the FSA is able to take this territory, then it will get very close to the strategically important city of Dabık.
"The situation is changing very rapidly, thus it is almost impossible to predict when we will take Dabık," he said,
It may be in a week, or it may be in several hours.
The commander said that Turkey is providing aerial support to the fighters, conducting airstrikes on Daesh positions in the region.
FSA fighters undergo medical treatment in Turkish hospitals, he said, adding that Turkey is supplying them with arms.
The commander said that Turkey is the only power which is supporting them in their military operations on in Syria.
