DAMASCUS (Sputnik) – The Syrian army regaining control over the city of Aleppo would lead to a rapid breakdown among militant groups and will trigger the need for political resolution of the crisis in the country, Syrian Information Minister Ramez Tourjman told Sputnik.
"Aleppo is an important boundary in the history of this crisis. Its liberation will lead to a quick collapse of terrorist groups and will force [the sides] to transition to the political resolution of the crisis," Tourjman said.
