ANKARA (Sputnik) — According to Turkey's state-run Anadolu news agency, the bomb exploded during the guard changes, claiming lives of more than 20 people. Eyewitnesses said that a suicide bomber was behind the blast.

People with light injuries were taken to nearby field hospitals while those severely injured were sent to hospitals in Turkey.

The Daesh jihadist group claimed responsibility for the attack via social networks.

Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Numan Kurtulmus condemned the attack calling it inhuman.

"Attacks on tent camps… are inhuman. These people have already lost their homes and future," Kurtulmus said, as quoted by Anadolu.

No other details are available at the moment.
