Lavrov: Failure of Russia-US Agreements on Syria Must be Prevented
WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The United States and Russia have no military to military conversations or plans for joint operations in Syria, US Department of Defense spokesperson Adrian Rankine-Galloway told Sputnik on Monday.

"We are not currently planning any joint military operations with Russia, nor are we having military to military conversations," Rankine-Galloway stated when asked about military contacts between Washington and Moscow on Syria.

Earlier in the day, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov said the United States and Russia had not maintained military contacts recently. He noted, however, that Russia is attempting to negotiate with the United States the steps needed to restore the cessation of hostilities agreement in Syria.
