Attacks on Medical Facilities Persist Year After US Strikes on Kunduz Hospital
WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Earlier in the day, local media reported that a senior leader of Jabhat Fatah al-Sham, formerly the al-Qaeda-affiliated al-Nusra Front, Abu Faraj Masri, died in a strike in Syria’s Idlib province.

"We can confirm we targeted a prominent al-Qaeda member and are assessing the results of the operation at this time," Allen stated when asked about the reported killing of Masri. "We will not discuss specific operations or release information about airstrikes against high-value targets until we can confirm it was a successful strike."
