Turkish Government Extends State of Emergency for Another 90 Days

The Turkish Cabinet decided on Monday to extend the state of emergency for another three months, Deputy Prime Minister Numan Kurtulmus said.

Erdogan Suggests No End to Turkey’s Post-Coup State of Emergency
ANKARA (Sputnik) — The Turkish authorities imposed the nation-wide emergency rule after the failed July 15 coup.

"The state of emergency was introduced on August 21 and expires on October 19. The cabinet decided today to extend it for another 90 days starting October 19," Kurtulmuş told reporters in Ankara.
