    The United States is ready to send additional advisors to Iraq to prepare the country’s forces for the Mosul offensive against Daesh, US Department of Defense official confirmed to Sputnik on Wednesday.

    WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Earlier on Wednesday, US media reported that Washington has agreed to send 600 additional troops to Iraq.

    "In consultation with the Government of Iraq the US is prepared to provide additional US military personnel to train and advise the Iraqis as the planning for the Mosul campaign intensifies," the official stated.
