    The Pentagon is sending 600 servicemen to provide logistics support for Iraqi forces ahead of an operation to liberate Mosul from Daesh.

    WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The US Department of Defense is deploying 600 more US troops to Iraq in advance of the operation to retake the city of Mosul from Daesh.

    The US military personnel will provide logistics support for Iraqi forces, NBC News cited Pentagon spokesperson Peter Cook as saying.
