It has been reported by the media that Omar fled Mosul after previous Iraqi forces' attack.

Mosul is Iraq’s second-biggest city and capital of the northwestern province of Ninawa. It has been occupied by the Daesh since June 2014 and declared the Iraqi capital of the Islamic State’s so-called caliphate.
