Commenting on the recent attacks in Syria and the subsequent US rhetoric, Russian political analyst Sergei Sudakov told Radio Sputnik that each US institution is playing its own game in the country.

"The reality is quite simple: the US understands that it is being entrapped in Syria, especially administratively. It turns out that the different American institutions do not coordinate their position in Syria," Sergei Sudakov, political scientist and Professor at the Russian Academy of Military Sciences told Radio Sputnik.

While the US State Department is pushing for peace within the country, striving to get carte blanche from the president, the country's special forces are playing their own games, without listening to or otherwise obeying the State Department, he explained.

The Department of Defense is also trying to "hog the blanket" and play its own role in the process.

"What we see is that the lack of tough coordination from the outgoing President Obama results in all the institutions trying to play out their own chess games," the expert said.

The US State Secretary seems to pursue the most rational stance while the president took up the "wait-and-see" position, he said.

"There is no chaos as such on the ground in Syria; there are attempts of certain groups to play their own games. In this case Kerry is the most adequate person, who understands Russia better than anyone else and tries to reach a consensus between all these groups. However it is a very difficult task for him as he does not belong to the heavyweight camp," Sudakov explained.

The heavyweights, he said, are the special forces and intelligence operation.

"Obama has taken up the "wait-and-see" position and watches how everything will settle up on its own," he added.

It is a very favorable position to watch what heads will be taken off by the new president especially if it the new leader comes from the democratic camp, the expert said.

It is some kind of a litmus paper for the new presidential administration.

Sudakov also does not rule out that by blaming Russia, the US is trying to hide its own mistakes.

"They should have responded more rapidly after the airstrike of the US coalition on the positions of the Syrian army which they thought were not army units but Daesh. And their response was very simple — let's blame Russia for the attack on the humanitarian convoy," he said.

But Russia was quick to provide footage of the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) which escorted the humanitarian convoy.  Russia possesses all the convincing evidence that the attack was made by terrorists, that the truck with a heavy machine gun approached the convoy and everyone can listen to the words of the terrorists on the footage. These are the facts, the political scientist said.

However the question is whether the Americans are ready to provide the facts. Not for now it seems. They are only ready to make announcements to the mass media.  Now they are trying to score points in the information war, he noted.

It is very hard for Russia to make any agreements with the US, Sudakov said.

"It is very difficult sometimes even to talk to our American partners. Each of them has its own truth. We are providing them with true facts but the American side as a rule is trying to call the black grey and the white – yellow or pink, never calling things by their true names," he said.

"We constantly come across the policy of lies, and it is very hard to cope with. However I think that the Russian investigation will be convincing and will prove to the world our rightness," he finally stated.
