Moscow: Coalition Strikes on Syrian Army Threaten ISSG Efforts, UNSC Agreements
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The attacks by the coalition planes near the Deir ez-Zor airport were first reported by the Syrian army earlier on Saturday. The Russian Defense Ministry confirmed the attacks saying they killed 62 servicemen and injured 100 more.

"Those people who were killed were Syrian people, they had same blood as I do, so the United States are shooting our people…Russia is always on the side of people in Syria. So we expect hard and tough steps and answer to these strikes from Russia. It must be a tough response. We need to make a ceasefire and to make it successful," Krydee said.

Russia Deeply Concerned With US-Led Coalition Strike on Syrian Forces
A number of countries are opposed to the US-Russian agreement on the new Syrian ceasefire and will continue supporting militants in Syria, the representative added.

"Apart from the United States, there are other countries supporting militants against the Syrian army. They are not satisfied with the US-Russia agreement. We will see further steps from them against Syrian people and Syrian army," Krydee said.

On September 9, Russia and the United States announced a new peace plan to address the five-year conflict in Syria. The ceasefire stipulated by the agreement came into force on September 12. Humanitarian access, along with seven days of reduced violence and the separation of extremist groups from moderate opposition, are some of the conditions of the US-Russia deal.
