No One May Dictate Terms to Syrian People - Tehran
09:57 GMT 15.09.2016 (Updated: 10:00 GMT 15.09.2016) Iran is against meddling of foreign states into the internal affairs of Syria and will not impose its will on the citizens of the war-torn country, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Jaberi Ansari said Thursday.
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — During a press conference in Moscow, Ansari said:
"We are against foreign interference to impose specific options on the people and government of Syria… Not the Islamic Republic of Iran nor any other state will define tasks and responsibilities of the Syrian people."

He added that it was impossible to make any particular person responsible for the long-standing conflict in Syria, as the issue was beyond personalities.
Syria has been mired in civil war since 2011, with government forces loyal to President Bashar Assad fighting a number of opposition factions and extremist groups.
