Russian Military Slams Daesh, Nusra Front for Derailing Peace Process in Syria
WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The US Central Command (CENTCOM) admitted Tuesday that civilians could have been hit by coalition airstrikes launched against Daesh targets within the past six days.

"A total of three strikes within the past 6 days on [Daesh] targets in Syria may have resulted in civilian casualties," the statement read.

Two strikes on IS targets on September 7 and September 10 hit what appeared to be non-military vehicles as they drove into the target area after the missile was fired from the jet, CENTCOM said. On September 10, a group of civilians could have been hit by a strike on a nearby Daesh target.

CENTCOM said it scrutinized every report regarding possible casualties and collateral damage and reviewed it as to whether the anti-Daesh coalition’s actions complied with the principles of the Law of Armed Conflict.
