WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Garver noted that coalition advisors continue to provide advice and assistance to the Syrian Arab Coalition and Manbij Military Council about the removal of IEDs from the area.

"Syrian Arab Coalition, Syrian Democratic Forces finding tremendous amount of IEDs in Manbij, Syria after ISIL [Daesh] fled," Garver stated in a Twitter post. "[They] nust be cleared before civilians can return."

On August 13, the Syrian Democratic Forces and Syrian Arab Coalition liberated Manbij from Daesh after a 73-day fight.
