Daesh Militants Carry Out Chemical Attack in Aleppo, Injure at Least 20

The Daesh jihadists have launched a chemical attack on residential districts of the northwestern Syrian city of Aleppo, wounding at least 20 civilians, local media reported citing sources.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The mustard gas attack was carried out on Tuesday on a government-controlled neighborhood, the Press TV broadcaster said.

Jihadists of the group outlawed in Russia and many other countries worldwide used mortars during the attack.

Aleppo has been mired in intense fighting, with the Syrian army and local militia forces having managed to encircle up to 8,000 militants headed by the Jabhat Fatah al Sham, formerly known as al-Nusra Front, outlawed in Russia, in eastern districts of Aleppo.
