"The cessation of hostilities in Syria has been respected in most of Syrian provinces. However, a total of seven violations of the ceasefire regime have been registered in Damascus (6) and Latakia (1) provinces," the ministry said in a daily bulletin posted on its website.
The Russia-US brokered ceasefire regime in Syria came into force on February 27. The Jabhat Fatah Al-Sham, formerly known as al-Nusra Front, and Daesh terrorist groups, which have been outlawed in many countries, are not part of the ceasefire deal.
"Within the last 24 hours, truce agreements have been reached with representatives of eight settlements in As-Suwayda (5) and Latakia (3) provinces, bringing the total number of settlements that have joined ceasefire to 368," the ministry also reported.
According to the document, negotiations on joining ceasefire regime have been continued with field commanders of armed opposition units operating in Damascus, Latakia and Homs provinces.
