Dubai Airport to Resume Departures at 14:30 GMT, Large Craft Given Priority
13:18 GMT 03.08.2016 (Updated: 13:28 GMT 03.08.2016) The Dubai International Airport will resume departure flights in an hour and a half, with larger aircraft given first priority, the Dubai Media Office said Wednesday.
MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The airport earlier suspended all arrivals and departures following the crash-landing of an Emirates airline passenger jet five minutes before its scheduled landing.
"DXB will resume departure operations starting 18.30 UAE local time [14:30 GMT] with larger aircraft given first priority," the media office said on its Twitter account.
Flight EK521 with 282 passengers and 18 crew member on board was flying from south India’s Thiruvananthapuram to Dubai when it crash-landed in the Dubai airport.
Local media reported up to 10 passengers have been treated for smoke inhalation and minor injuries.
