A coalition of Saudi-led Arab forces has bombed a Houthi military camp northeast of Yemen’s capital Sanaa, an Arab television channel reported Tuesday.

DUBAI (Sputnik) — Troops loyal to Yemen’s UN-backed President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi are continuing their offensive against the Houthi-held city, Al Hadath said, adding that they are stationed some 12 miles away from Sanaa.

Riyadh: Houthi-Formed Council Not to Change Military Situation in Yemen
The coalition has been targeting positions of the opposition Houthi group and military forces backing ex-President Ali Abdullah Saleh. They have recently carried out two dozen airstrikes, the channel estimated.

Yemen’s government delegation reportedly left Kuwait and headed to Riyadh on Monday after two months of UN-facilitated peace talks. Yemeni Foreign Minister Abdel Malek Mekhlafi said authorities were willing to return to the negotiating table before the August 7 deadline.

Yemen has been torn apart by a war between Hadi's government and Houthis since 2014. The Houthis are backed by armed forces loyal to former Yemeni President Saleh. The Arab coalition has been providing government troops with air support since March 2015.
