A truck convoy is carrying over 18 tonnes of Russian humanitarian aid to the checkpoints in the Syrian city of Aleppo, the Russian center for Syrian reconciliation said on Tuesday in a statement.

HMEIMIM (Sputnik) — Earlier, Russia delivered more than 21 metric tons of humanitarian aid to Syria's provinces of Aleppo, Hama and Homs as well as the city of Deir Ez-Zor besieged by terrorists.

"Servicemen of the Russian center for Syrian reconciliation sent a large lot of food and essentials in a humanitarian convoy to temporary storage warehouses in Aleppo," the statement said.
