"In Syria, coalition military forces conducted 14 strikes using attack, fighter, and remotely piloted aircraft against ISIL [IS] targets," the release said on Thursday. "Additionally in Iraq, coalition military forces conducted 11 strikes with and in support of the Government of Iraq."
In Syria, the 14 strikes destroyed vehicles, fighting positions and tactical units near three cities, including Manbij and Mara, according to the Central Command.
The US-led coalition of more than 60 nations has been carrying out airstrikes in Syria and Iraq since the summer of 2014.
The Islamic State terrorist group, also known as Daesh in Arabic, is outlawed in the United States, Russia and numerous other countries throughout the world.
