MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Mogherini is keeping in touch with the EU delegation in Ankara and is calling for respect of democratic institutions amid an attempted military coup in Turkey.
"In constant contact with EU Delegation in Ankara & Brussels from Mongolia. Call for restraint and respect for democratic institutions," Mogherini wrote on Twitter.
On Friday, Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said that a group of servicemen attempted a military coup d'etat in the country.
