"In Syria, coalition military forces conducted 12 strikes using bomber, attack, fighter and remotely piloted aircraft against Daesh targets," the release stated on Thursday. "Additionally in Iraq, coalition military forces conducted 15 strikes coordinated with an in support of the Government of Iraq."
In Syria, airstrikes near four cities, including Raqqah and Manbij, destroyed vehicles, fighting positions and tactical units, according to the Central Command.
The 15 airstrikes in Iraq hit positions near six cities, including Mosul and Haditha, destroying mortar systems, vehicles, tactical units, weapons caches and one vehicle borne improvised explosive device (VBIED).
The US-led coalition of more than 60 nations has been carrying out airstrikes in Syria and Iraq since the summer of 2014.
The Daesh terrorist group, is outlawed in the United States, Russia and numerous other countries throughout the world.
