Iranian Central Bank, the US Treasury and foreign banks are meeting in London, British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond said Tuesday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Representatives of the Central Bank of Iran, the US Treasury and foreign banks are meeting in London to make progress on the landmark international agreement to curb Iran's nuclear program reached last year, British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond said Tuesday.

"There is a meeting happening this afternoon at Lancaster House between the Iranian Central Bank, the United States Treasury and international banks based in London in an attempt to try to make some progress on this matter, so the people of Iran can try to benefit from the seminal deal that was done a year ago," Hammond told parliament.

Iran and the five permanent UN Security Council members plus Germany reached an agreement to ensure the peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear program in exchange for the easing of anti-Iran sanctions on July 14, 2015.
