DAMASCUS (Sputnik) – The Syrian armed forces repelled a large-scale militant attack near the northern city of Aleppo’s historic citadel, a Syrian army commander told Sputnik on Monday.
“As a result of clashes between the Syrian army and the militants, in which light and heavy machine guns were used, a number of fighters have been killed and wounded,” the commander said.
