MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Al-Nusra Front militants on Monday fired from mortars and multiple launch rocket systems (MLRSs) at two settlements in the Aleppo province and neighbourhoods of its eponymous capital, the Russian center for Syrian reconciliation said on Monday.
"In the Aleppo province, Handrat and al-Ramusy inhabited areas, Sheikh Maqsood, al-Hamadiya, al-Khalidiah and Meidan quarters of Aleppo have been shelled with MLRS and mortars [by Al-Nusra Front militants]," the center said in a statement.
The extremist group also shelled the Ard al-Wata and Rasha settlements in the Latakia province, as well as the Blelije and Marj Sultan villages in the Damascus province, the military added.
