MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to Turkey's Anadolu news agency, the blast hit the Ovacik district of the Tunceli province. The car bomb exploded close to the courthouse lodgings, the agency reported.
Three of those injured in the attack are reportedly in a critical state. An investigation is ongoing, according to the news outlet.
Tensions in Turkey escalated in July 2015, after 33 Kurdish activists were killed in a suicide blast in Suruc and two Turkish policemen were later murdered by the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) militants, which led to Ankara's military campaign against the PKK which it considers a terrorist organization.
At the same time, Turkey launched a campaign against the Daesh extremist group, which is outlawed in many countries, including Russia.
