Witness reports indicate that a 100-man strong force of heavily-armed al-Nusra Front militants is assembling near a highway that links Homs and Aleppo, the Russian military warned Saturday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The ministry has also been alerted to terrorists gathering in nearby al-Eis and al-Hadher settlements in southern Aleppo in preparation for "acts of violence and active warfare."

"According to civilians, more than 100 terrorists of Jabhat al-Nusra [al-Nusra Front] with heavy armament have arrived in al-Barfoum and Iqarda," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a daily bulletin posted on its website.
