The Russian reconciliation center in Syria has facilitated the extension of so-called silence regime in Syrian Darayya in order to provide the secure delivery of humanitarian aid to Damascus Province.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — "Silence regime" in Darayya settlement in Syria’s Damascus province has been extended for 72 hours till midnight June 7, the Russian reconciliation center in Syria said Sunday.

"Agreement on prolonging "silence regime" near Darayya for 72 hours until 12 p.m. on June 7 [21:00 GMT Tuesday] has been achieved on the initiative of the Russian party in order to provide security for delivering of the UN humanitarian assistance to the population of the Damascus province," the center said in a bulletin posted by the Russian Defense Ministry.
