    Russia Made Extraordinary Efforts to Ensure UN Aid Delivery to Daraya

    Deputy Special Envoy for Syria Ramzy Ezzeldin Ramzy said that Russia made extraordinary efforts to ensure that the delivery of UN humanitarian aid to Syria’s besieged and hard-to-reach area of Daraya took place.

    MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Moscow took tremendous efforts to make sure that the United Nations’ delivery to Syria’s besieged and hard-to-reach area of Daraya took place on Wednesday, Deputy Special Envoy for Syria Ramzy Ezzeldin Ramzy said Thursday.

    "We would like to thank the co-chairs [of the ISSG] for their efforts, and particularly in the case of Daraya it was the Russian Federation who made extraordinary efforts to ensure that the delivery took place yesterday," Ramzy told reporters.
