MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Islamic State (ISIL or Daesh) group shelled on Saturday the vicinity of the Iraqi capital Baghdad with 20 rockets, local media reported.
"ISIS terrorist gangs shelled al-Baghdadi vicinity with 20 rockets…The shelling didn’t result in any casualties among the civilians," Baghdad's Local Council Abdel Jabbar Obeidi told IraqiNews.com outlet on Saturday.
The Daesh is a designated terrorist group that has captured large areas of land in Syria and Iraq, where it proclaimed a caliphate. The terror group is outlawed in Russia, the United States and in several other countries.
