Moscow is deeply concerned with the lack of intrusion from the United States and the European Union on Turkey’s violence against Kurds, Russia’s envoy to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe said Friday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Moscow is surprised at the lack of response from the United States and the European Union on Turkey’s systematic violence targeted against Kurds and following the line of double standards, Russia’s envoy to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe said Friday.

“Blatant and systematic violence continues in Turkey against the Kurdish minority,” Russian OSCE Envoy Alexander Lukashevich was quoted as saying on the Russian Foreign Ministry’s website. The lack of clear assessments from the United States and the European Union on the violence itself directed at the Kurds is surprising. This is obviously yet another appearance of double standards depending on politics,” Lukdashevich said.

Moscow yet again expressed concern on Kurds amid Turkey's operation against the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).
