Daesh and al-Nusra Front terrorist groups coordinate their actions and launch joint attacks against Kurdish militias and the Syrian army, Kurdistan National Congress spokesman Selahattin Soro said Tuesday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russia and the United States reached an agreement on the ceasefire in Syria on February 22. The ceasefire took effect on Saturday.

The UN Security Council unanimously adopted Resolution 2268 endorsing the Russia-US agreement on the cessation of hostilities in Syria on Friday, shortly before the ceasefire came into force. The cessation of hostilities does not apply to designated terrorist organizations operating in Syria, including Daesh and al-Nusra Front.

"As far as we know, there are no clashes between them, but before this used to happen. Moreover, in some regions they coordinate their actions and carry out joint operations. For example, in Aleppo and in A’zaz, in the canton of Afrin, they work together against Kurds, the Syrian army, independent groups," Soro told RIA Novosti.

Soro added that there were no ideological contradictions between the terrorist groups.
