MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Moscow regrets Washington’s position that the Syrian crisis can be settled without current Syrian President Bashar Assad, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said Monday.
“We regret that signals are constantly coming from Washington that the current Syrian president has not place in Syria’s future. We don’t believe this. We believe that the place needs to be defined by the Syrian people themselves,” Ryabkov said during a press conference in Moscow.
