Turkey was helping to flood Syria with terrorists by allowing them pass through the Syrian-Turkish border, a political adviser to Syrian President Bashar Assad said Thursday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — She said that that fully coordinated efforts in the fight against terrorists is absolutely necessary, but so far, it has not been observed.

"Turkey helped the terrorists to penetrate our territory through our border with them. The crisis now shows that there are countries that support terrorism, and others like Russia, China and Iran that fight against it," Bouthaina Shaaban said at an experts meeting of the Valdai International Discussion Club in Moscow.

In the end of 2015, the Russian Defense Ministry released evidence of oil being transferred in fuel trucks from facilities controlled by Daesh to Turkey.

In September, Russia, Syria, Iraq and Iran created the Baghdad Information Center to coordinate joint military action against terrorism. The same month, Russia launched its own anti-terrorist air campaign in Syria at Syrian President Bashar Assad’s request.
