WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The US-led coalition against Daesh conducted 26 airstrikes in Syria and Iraq hitting its personnel and infrastructure, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) said in a press release on Tuesday.

"Additionally in Iraq, coalition military forces conducted 15 strikes coordinated with and in support of the Government of Iraq using fighter aircraft against ISIL [Daesh] targets."
Eleven airstrikes near three Syrian cities, Hasakah, Manbij and Deir Ez-Zor, were undertaken on February 22, and destroyed tactical units, buildings, as well as gas and oil separation plant wellheads, according to the press release.
The US-led coalition also conducted 15 airstrikes near seven Iraqi cities to the north and west of Baghdad, including Ramadi, Sinjar, and Mosul. The strikes destroyed multiple Daesh tactical units and fighting positions, among other targets.
